We’ll keep this simple. Nobody enjoys reading privacy policies, and honestly, most of them are written to confuse rather than inform. This one is different. We’ve written it the way we’d want someone to write it for us — clearly, without the legal fog.
The basics
When you visit Stay at Home Decors, two kinds of information come into play. There’s stuff you tell us on purpose, and stuff that gets collected just because that’s how websites work.
If you sign up for our emails, send us a message through the contact form, or drop a comment somewhere on the site — you’re sharing your name and email address with us. We use that for the exact reason you gave it. You signed up for emails, so we send you emails. You sent us a message, so we reply. Nothing else happens with it.
The automatic stuff is more technical. Every website collects data like IP addresses, browser types, which pages you visited, how long you stayed, where you came from before landing here. We collect this too, through cookies and Google Analytics. It helps us understand what content people find useful and where the site can improve. That’s genuinely all it’s for.
Cookies — what they are and what we do with them
A cookie is just a tiny file that sits on your device after you visit a site. We use them to keep the site working properly, to run our analytics, and to make sure our affiliate tracking through FlexOffers functions the way it should. If you want to switch cookies off, your browser settings let you do that. Just know that some things on the site might behave a little differently if you do.
FlexOffers and how affiliate tracking works
We’re a publisher with FlexOffers, and that relationship involves some tracking. When you click one of our affiliate links and end up buying something, FlexOffers uses a cookie to connect that purchase back to us so we receive our commission. You pay exactly what you’d pay anyway — this just determines whether we get credit for the referral.

Google Analytics
Google Analytics is running quietly in the background here. It collects anonymized, aggregated data — we can see things like “200 people visited this page today” but not who those people are or anything personally identifying. If you’d prefer Google not track your visits at all, they make a browser add-on specifically for opting out. Search “Google Analytics opt-out” and it comes right up.
Email and social
Our email list is managed through a third-party email platform. Your address stays there for the purpose of sending you content — we don’t pass it along to anyone for any other reason. Unsubscribing is one click from any email we send, and that’s that.
We link out to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Medium from this site. Once you leave and land on those platforms, their privacy policies take over. We have no say in what they do with your data — that’s between you and them.
The short version on selling your data
We don’t. We never have. We’re not in the business of collecting information about our readers so we can sell it to someone else. The whole point of this site is to build trust with the people who read it, and doing something like that would be completely at odds with that.
How long we hold onto things
Email subscribers stay in our system until they unsubscribe. Messages through the contact form are kept for a reasonable period in case we need to follow up, then they’re gone. Analytics data follows Google’s default retention settings.
If you want to know what we have, or want it deleted
You have every right to ask. If you want to know what personal information we hold about you, want something corrected, or want it removed entirely — just reach out through the Contact page. We’ll sort it out.
Kids under 13
This site isn’t for children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has somehow submitted information through this site, tell us and we’ll delete it immediately.
When this page changes
We’ll update the date at the top when anything meaningful changes. We’re not going to rewrite this every few months for the sake of it — only when something actually shifts in how we operate.
